Manager: Jason Trawick Didn't "Beat" Britney Spears

Britney Spears' manager is slamming tabloid Star and RadarOnline for publishing articles claiming that the singer's beau, Jason Trawick, abused her.

On Wednesday, Radar posted a recording purportedly of Spears, 29, chatting with ex, Jason Alexander. During the chat Alexander asks, "I thought he proposed to you or something at the beach." The person, claming to be Spears, replies: "Before or after he beat on me?" It comes on the heels of Star's new cover which screams, "Jason Beat Me Up."

Rudolph tells UsMagazine.com both outlets have printed "fabricated" stories.

"This is 100 percent not true," he says. "The recording is not Britney."

He tells Us they plan to take "legal action."
